Labor of Love is an invitation to enter more deeply into the living altar of Somos Sanctuary and one's self. Join us for a transformative 4-day/3-night weekend retreat from September 4th to 7th (or stay for the extended Retreat + Guardianship Training - September 7th-10th).

Embrace this opportunity to connect deeply with yourself, our Rainbow Tribe Community, and the ever-unfolding magic of the Universe. Held within our School of Love, we are offering an extended gathering for experienced participants called to deepen their guardianship path.

Somos Sanctuary is a living altar stewarded by Maya Martínez and Willa Kveta in loving partnership and shared devotion. Alongside a team of Mothers and Guardians of the Altar, they hold a ceremonial container rooted in the rhythms and teachings of Mother Earth, music as medicine, humility, reciprocity, and magic. Their altar is held by the prayers, guidance, and blessings of their council of elders and teachers, whose living wisdom, permissions, and ongoing support help guide their work with integrity.

4 Day Labor of Love Retreat Includes:

• Shared or private accommodations (first come first serve basis, ensuring comfort and privacy for all attendees)

• Healthy, delicious meals crafted by our talented chef, focusing on nourishing ingredients that honor the earth and support your wellbeing

• Two-night SomoS ceremony, a profound ceremony designed to facilitate deep healing and connection

  Arrival & Departure:

  • Accessible via MetroNorth from the city or car.

  • Plan to arrive between 2pm and 4 pm on Friday September 4th

  • Official departure window is after 5pm on Sunday the 6th or Monday morning (September 7th) before 11am. Participants are encouraged to stay overnight into Monday morning for connection, integration, song/fire circle, and nature time.

    
    

  Labor of Love VI Suggested Sliding Scale Exchange: $1,200 - $1,800 - $2,600+

  In our commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, we offer a sliding scale for suggested exchanges. We trust you to assess your financial situation and the value of this experience, and to choose the exchange that feels most aligned. Here are some guidelines to support your decision:

  Highest Exchange Tier: $2600+ For those blessed with economic privilege. Your contribution supports the full value of this work and helps us make these ceremonies accessible to all. Any additional contributions are greatly appreciated and directly support our various projects and alliances.

  Middle Exchange Tier: $1800+ Covers the true cost of hosting this retreat, and is for those with stable finances. 

  Lowest Exchange Tier: $1200+ For those in need of financial support – your presence is deeply valued.

  
  

  We understand that the lower tier may still pose a financial obstacle for some individuals wishing to attend this meaningful ceremony. In such cases, we are committed to working with participants to offer extended payment plans, opportunities for work exchange, lower ticket prices, and other supportive solutions.   Refund Policy:

  At Somos Sanctuary, we honor the sacred exchange and the energy it takes to prepare each ceremonial gathering. All payments made toward your exchange are non-refundable, however can be applied towards a future ceremony (minus your deposit). We understand that life may bring unexpected shifts, so please reach out to us if you have extenuating circumstances.   Guardianship Training Extended Retreat

  Guardianship begins within - learning to tend the altar of our own hearts. Through our School of Love, we will explore the lifelong practice of cultivating both self-guardianship and selfless guardianship - walking with integrity, humility, and devotion to service.

  • The Path of Self-Guardianship

  Learning to care for our body, mind, emotions, spirit, and relationships with honesty, discipline ("blissapline"), compassion, presence, and deep self-responsibility.

  • The Path of Selfless Guardianship

  Expanding our capacity to serve something greater than ourselves through humility, generosity, discernment, loving responsibility, and devotion to the collective.

  • Living Prayer & Spell-Casting

  Discovering prayer as more than words or ceremony - as a way of walking, listening, creating, relating, and making choices through the intention behind our words and our actions.

  • The Living Altar

  Deepening our understanding that the living altar is reflected in our body, our home, our relationships, our community, and our relationship with the Earth.

  • Reciprocity & Right Relationship

  Cultivating gratitude, accountability, and reverence with the medicines, the land, our ancestors, our teachers, one another, and future generations.

  • Community

  Actively participating in community building and caring for the whole through service, shared responsibility, trust, honest communication, and the willingness to both give and receive support.

  Guardianship Training Retreat Includes:

  • 2 Daytime Ceremonies: Toad Activation, Seed of the Sun, and/or Frog Cleanse - deepening our relationship with these sacred tools through the lens of guardianship.

  • Teachings & Practices designed to deepen our understanding and embodiment of guardianship.

  • The Art of Limpias / Cleanses - learning to give and receive limpias

  • Embodiment Practices - somatic exercises to strengthen our connection with the wisdom of the body.

  • Truth Speaking Circle - cultivating communication rooted in love, courage, honesty, and trust.

  • Art Integration - using creativity and our hands to embody and integrate our experiences.

  • Breathwork - deepening our connection to our lifeforce energy

  • Magic Nature Walk - learning to perceive, receive, and embody the magic woven throughout the natural world.

  • Song Circle - gathering in community to open our hearts and voices through song.

  • Earth Offering - a practice of gratitude, reciprocity, and giving back to the Earth.

  • Ecstatic Dance set to our new Codes of Dance album (pre-release)

  • Fireside Connection & Integration - a space to reflect, share, and weave our experiences into daily life.

  
  

  *This training is not intended for certification, training to become a guardian of Somos Sanctuary, or facilitator training. It is an opportunity to experience and learn more about the teachings, values, and practices that shape us and our community, and to cultivate and embody the qualities of a guardian within one’s own life.
