About the event

THE CALL:

Dear spiritual family, planetary tribe, awakening and regenerative networks, and the web of relations of the Somos Sanctuary and Atlántida Ecovillage,

We are pleased to open this invitation to the first gathering of the medicinal plant in our community and Maloka. This event is a celebration of friendship and ceremonial ways, paying tribute to the Teacher Plants. It will serve as a space to redefine our work with Medicines and deepen the therapeutic and transformative dimensions of these practices, leading to tangible changes in our daily lives. Additionally, it is an opportunity for reunion to celebrate and bless the Atlántida Ecovillage, very sacred and special space in Cajibio, Cauca, Colombia

Community members will share their talents and gifts throughout the retreat, including:

  • Ana María and her Grandmother's prayer of the territory

  • Tana and Cabo from the Moon Dance altar

  • Yami and her Sacred Smudge

  • Conscious Birthing, Yoga, Fire Guardians

  • Dances of Peace and Sufism

We are also excited to announce two guests of honor for this first edition: MAMA JUREMA & WACHUMITA.

Suggested Sliding Scale Exchange:

$999 - $1,444

To facilitate access for as many people as possible despite economic challenges, we are implementing a sliding scale system for suggested exchanges. We trust you to evaluate your economic situation, the value of what you will receive, and determine the most equitable exchange for your circumstances. Here are some guidelines to consider:

  • Higher exchange ($1,444): Covers all costs, allows further investment in the church, and subsidizes those without discretionary income. If retreat costs are rarely a concern, consider offering a higher exchange.

  • Middle way ($1,222): Reflects the true cost of the event. Generally, those with discretionary income fall in this range.

  • Lower cost ($999): Helps cover retreat costs but not all expenses. Those with limited discretionary spending may fall in this range.

If the lower tier is an obstacle to attending a ceremony, we will work with individuals to offer extended payment plans, work exchange, lower ticket prices, and other solutions. For additional assistance, please contact info@somossanctuary.org or call (929) 333-4850.

***Contributing to our 501(c)(3) organization supports our mission and provides a tax benefit for you. Your donations are tax-deductible, reducing your taxable income and overall tax liability, offering a financial incentive for your generosity.***

Registration:

To reserve your spot, please click “Register” and select the appropriate sliding scale option, indicating your sleeping accommodation preference. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required. You will receive a confirmation email with instructions for completing your registration, including a confidential health history and intake call with our team, (if this is your first event joining Somos Sanctuary) to discuss your current physical and mental circumstances. Instructions for paying the balance of your pledge and preparation details.

Refund Policy:

Somos Sanctuary offers a flexible refund policy that balances participant needs with the sanctuary’s costs. Cancellations made are non-refundable but transferable except for 50% registration fee. Extenuating circumstances may allow for special consideration. Refund requests must be made in writing and will be processed within 7 business days.
