Utah Spring Somos Sanctuary Retreat

Our intent this year is to continue the powerful work that began last summer when we first answered the call to share our altar in Utah. We look forward to continuing to build new alliances, nurture the relationships that we have begun, while sitting with communities on sacred lands across the continent. Join us in planting and nurturing this seed.

Suggested Sliding Scale Exchange:

$1,400 - $1,600 - $1,800

Includes:

• Staying overnight in the ceremony space is encouraged. 4" memory foam mattresses are provided at the space. If you would like a little more privacy, or a 'proper' bed, there are a limited number of bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. You will be able to indicate a preference during registration and we will discuss your sleeping requirements during our pre-ceremony consultation and do our best to allocate rooms in an equitable manner. Participants choosing to sleep in one of the rooms are requested to make an additional donation of $100/person.
• Communal meals: Nourishing meals and snacks are offered throughout the weekend. It is recommended to eat gently prior to and throughout the weekend.

In order to sustainably facilitate access to as many people as possible despite possible economic challenges, we are using a sliding scale system for suggested exchanges. We trust you to evaluate your economic situation, the value of what you will be receiving, and determine the most equitable exchange for your circumstances. Some guidelines to consider in choosing your exchange:

·    Higher exchange (1,800+) covers all costs, direct and operational, allows for further investment in the church, and subsidizes those without the discretionary income to afford standard tickets. If retreat costs are rarely a concern and discretionary spending is abundant, you may consider offering a higher exchange.

·    The middle way (1,600) reflects the true cost of the event. Those with discretionary income generally fall in this range.

·    The lower cost (1,400) helps cover the cost of the retreat, but not all expenses. Those with limited discretionary spending may fall in this range.

When the lower tier is an obstacle to attending a ceremony, we will work with folks to offer extended payment plans, work exchange, lower ticket prices, and other solutions. Registration:

In order to reserve your spot, please click “Register” and then select the appropriate sliding scale option and indicate your sleeping accommodation preference. There is a $100 deposit required, this deposit is non-refundable.  You will then receive a confirmation email with instructions for how to complete your registration. We will require a confidential health history and intake call with our team to discuss your current physical and mental circumstances.  You will also receive instructions for paying the balance of your pledge.
