Santa Barbara Medicine Weekend

Join us for an immersive journey where you’ll experience the deep resonance of connection, the power of collective prayer, and profound teachings from these sacred medicines.

About this Prayer:

All our ceremonies are held with pure love. We are trained guardians of these medicines and hold powerful, potent, and safe containers. Ceremonies are shared in sacred silence, carried by live sound frequency, (songs, ikaros, chants and prayers) that have been passed to us through our teachers and trainings with the lineages of these sacred plants and amphibians. Please note that the burning of dried herbs and tobacco at different moments throughout the ceremony is to be expected.

About Us:

Maya Martinez, founder of Somos Sanctuary, was raised in both Colombia and New York City, and has been on a life-long journey studying with indigenous teachers from Colombia, Mexico, the United States, and Brazil, where she was given the name Sakakatwa ‘Rainbow,’ by her family of the Fulniô Tribe. As a dedicated student, she continuously deepens her studies with the sacraments, and has learned many traditional ceremonial practices that help raise the vibration of the planet. It is with great honor, permission, and care, that she shares the weavings of this knowledge with those who are ready to answer the call and receive the wisdom and downloads that come.

Willa Kveta, founder of Nalaya Healing, is a Ceremonialist and Sacred Photographer who grew up in the Pacific Northwest attending Waldorf School and always deeply connected to Mother Earth. Willa has spent years traveling in Central and South America learning ancestral wisdom and currently lives in Santa Barbara, CA with her teenage twin daughters who she has raised to be wise young beings full of awareness and grace. Through her ceremonial work, Willa embodies the voice of angels and carries a beautiful humble presence that emanates unconditional love. Her longtime work with sacred plants and teachers continues to deepen, as she learns and grows in love, alongside her soul partner Maya. Willa's purpose is to be a loving mirror of healing, expansion, and magic, helping others embody their fullest expression of self.

Accommodations/Sleeping Arrangements:

We ask that everyone stay overnight in the Ceremonial Space. Please bring what you will need to be comfortable for sleeping overnight including padding, pillows and sleeping bag/blanket.

(*Please Note: In order to keep a potent container, we kindly ask that everyone stays until we close the weekend retreat regardless).

Registration:

To secure your spot, please click “Register”, select your sliding scale donation, and pay the $200 deposit. Once you've completed this process, you will receive a confirmation email with important steps to complete your registration and forms for ceremony. We will require a confidential health history and intake call with a member of our team to discuss your current physical and mental circumstances. You will also receive instructions for paying the balance of your donation. *If you have not received a confirmation email after 24 hours, please reach out to us via our email or phone below. 

*Contributing to our 501(c)(3) organization supports our mission and provides a tax benefit for you. Your payments/donations are tax-deductible, reducing your taxable income and overall tax liability, offering a financial incentive for your generosity.

About our Sliding Scale Program:

In order to offer access to all who are called to this experience, we use a sliding scale system for the $ exchange. We trust you to evaluate your economic situation and determine the most equitable exchange for your circumstances. If you are called to share more after the retreat, we greatfully accept your donations. When the lower tier is still an obstacle to attending a ceremony, we may be able to offer different solutions such as extended payment plans, work exchange, reduced ticket prices, and other solutions.
